Check in, collect your parking permit and display it on your rear-view mirror. Ask the team to point out the camping area that applies to your booking.
Choose with your crew in mind.
For unallocated unpowered camping, choose within the area shown by reception. Look for suitable flat ground and room for your full setup. Ask which available spots suit your group.
Let your friends know.
If your group is using unallocated camping, the first arrivals can choose with the whole group’s space in mind. Later arrivals still check in at reception before joining you. Camping together depends on availability and your booking arrangements.

Supervise children around the creek and accompany them to shared bathrooms. Water levels and conditions can change; ask for local advice.

Keep noise considerate, clean up after cooking and use the marked waste areas. Read the retreat’s full rules before your stay.

Before booking a larger family or group, confirm the suitable site and guest limit with reception. Give your full tent dimensions, including any awning, plus your vehicle or caravan size. The team can confirm the guest limit and arrangement that apply to your booking.
Can we camp next to our friends?
For unallocated unpowered camping, reception can explain where your group may set up. The first arrivals can choose a suitable space with the group’s tents in mind, then share the location with friends. Each arriving party must check in before joining you. Adjacent space is not guaranteed; confirm your group’s booking arrangements and availability with the team.

Use the official park map and ask reception about the route from your preferred site. The shared kitchen and washing-up facilities are not necessarily in the same place. If distance, slopes or steps matter to you, discuss this before booking.

Check the current bedding, sleeping arrangements, electrical supply and minimum stay before booking. Bring the linen, pillows and blankets specified in your booking confirmation. Bell tents are pet-free.
Can our dog swim or run off leash?
The campground’s May 2026 update describes a fenced off-leash area and a designated off-leash dog swimming area. Elsewhere, dogs must be on a lead and stay with you. Ask reception for the current boundaries and pet conditions.
Can we buy ice or firewood, or hire a fire pit?
The office shop offers fire-pit hire, firewood, ice and selected supplies. See the hire and shop guide for board prices. Firewood delivery is offered; check the day’s order cut-off. Bring-your-own fire pits must be at least 30 cm off the ground and catch the coals. Always check current fire restrictions.

Allow for one vehicle at your campsite and ask about visitor parking for another car. If you need to unload a second vehicle, arrange this with reception; unloading permission does not include parking it at your site. Display your parking permit as directed. Reception has confirmed EFT/card payment facilities. Check arrival and departure arrangements in your booking and contact reception for late arrival; office hours can change.
Is there something on during our stay?
Check the events page, including music times, before you book. Food vans and special meals run on selected dates. Read arrival messages for changes and same-day announcements. If you would prefer a quieter stay, ask the team about your dates.
What should we know about the creek and weather?
This is a natural waterway. Water levels and conditions change, so check local advice and supervise children closely. Ask about current fishing restrictions before bringing your gear. Read the current cancellation and weather policy before booking.
